During this time in the journey, let’s become very still and calm.
The goal here is to completely withdraw from stress. To create a safe and loving space for conception to occur.
There is no reason to not feel hopeful right now. Even if you’ve been unsuccessful in the past, today is a new day. This moment is alive with fresh possibility.
Anything can happen.
Most of my sequences focus heavily on the truth that YOU will be ok no matter the outcome.
And that is true.
But during this very specific time in your treatment, we are going to let down our guard for a moment. Let’s open the heart.
We will become soft and gentle.
It is ok to want. To desire with all of your heart for a successful pregnancy.
It’s ok to want it “too much.” There is no need to reign that in at this moment.
Let it flood you.
A lot of times we suppress that desire because of previous disappointment.
Or because of a false belief from religion or elsewhere that this strong desire is “wrong” or hampering the process.
It’s not. Feel it. All of it. It’s there anyway.
So let it all be there. Let hope and possibility exist. Even for just this time.
I know you want to protect your heart and not allow that desire to come up.
I know you don’t want to focus too hard on wanting a baby out of fear that your already raw heart will get crushed again.
I know sweet lady. I know.
I feel tears welling up just writing it. I remember the fear well.
But your heart is strong. You have a warrior heart. You have proven that.
So choose now to open your heart with each new cycle.
Yes it’s a CHOICE. And we will choose it every damn time!
Movement will be limited to just sitting poses. There will be no twisting or strain here. Only restorative and healing poses.
Let’s focus on deep breaths, on strengthening the heart and on LETTING HOPE EXIST!
Ganesha Mudra-This is a way to place our hands to focus the mind. Ganesha mudra represents the removal of obstacles. Perseverance. Courage. And strengths the heart. It also releases blocked energy or emotion.
Elbows bend with hands in front of chest. Left palm faces outwards. Right palm faces inwards. Fingers grasp together. Hands in mudra at the heart.
Feel your hands grasp together. Do you feel that power there? Your hands hold and strengthen each other. You are your own strength. All that you need, you already possess. There is unconditional friendliness in those hands. There is a gentleness. And a love for self. Breathe into the power that is YOU. Breathe into those hands, into the fingers, into the heart. Look into your heart now. What is there? Is there fear? Stress? Calm? Whatever is there is FINE! Sit for a moment with it and then begin to inhale big belly breaths right into that emotion. Not to rush it away. No dear one. To allow acceptance and self love begin.
Breathing Exercise (Pranayama)-Inhale deeply and exhale fully out of your mouth with in a sigh (5-10 minutes)
Shoulders come up to the ears with an inhale inhale-release shoulders down with an exhale. Reverse sides.
Ear reaches to the shoulder-tap on neck and shoulder with hand helping to release tension. Reverse sides.
Ball your hands into fists and tap on chest. Move this tapping to all areas of the chest.
Interlace fingers at the base of head-cat/cow.
Round the back and inhale reaching heart to the sky. Repeat several more times.
Circle hands up around the body and place hands in Namaste passing through the center of the body.
Coordinate the inhale going up and exhale come down.
Fingers interlace behind back and stretch backward
Allow the heart to open and expand. Breathe new life into the heart. Allow emotion to be there with you.
Wide leg Childs pose (Balasana)
Hero pose (Virasana)
Sit back on your heels and allow your hips to lower in between your legs.
Spine remains elongated. Hands rest on thighs.
Bound angle pose (Baddha Konasana)
Bring the soles of your feet to touch.
Begin to massage those wonderful feet that have carried you through life. Gently bring warmth and focus to each toe, the ball of your foot, the arches, and the heels.
Inhale and reach the crown of your head to the sky.
Exhale and bring your right palm to the ground. Now reach the left towards the sky and arch to the right. Reverse sides.
Go at a pace that feels good to YOU. Get into a rhythm. Feel yourself flow like water.
Supported bridge pose
Gather a yoga block, pillow or book and place it under your lower block.
Your hips should now be raised.
Supported fish pose
Take a yoga bolster or pillow and line up one end right against your lower back. It should be horizontal.
Gently lye your back against this block so that your entire spine is supported.
Allow the arms to drape open exposing your beautiful heart.
Legs up the wall
Find a wall and scoot yourself so that your hips are pressed against it and your legs face straight up resting on the wall.
Wide leg Childs pose (Balasana)
Heart melting pose (Anahatasana)
Lift your hips. Keep your arms outstretched and flat in front of you. Melt your heart in between your arms.
Bow to yourself. To your strength. To your tenacity.
Supported child pose
Get a pillow or yoga block. Turn your body so you’re resting on your right hip, legs are stacked on top of each other.
Place the bolster against the right hips and gently lay your body over the bolster.
Rest here and then reverse side.
Begin by rubbing the palms of the hands together creating warmth and energy. Allow your hands to stroke the back of your neck releasing any blockages held there. Begin to rub all parts of your face. Start with your forehead and then temples. Gently massage your eyes and under your eyes. Travel down to your cheeks, nose and above your mouth.
Take special care to massage your jaw purposefully. Allowing all tension to release. Feel free to move the jaw around aiding in the release. Finish by massaging between the brows (3rd eye). Really focus energy and love there. The third eye is the center. With our third eye we can see potential and possibility. There is wisdom and awareness that the Divine is always there.
